RIGHT AT HOME
Hospice Through Medicaid
Medicaid is a jointly funded, federal and state program providing free or low-cost health insurance coverage to disabled, low-income families, the elderly, and pregnant women. Generally, Medicaid participants who are eligible to receive hospice care have been diagnosed with a terminal illness and have a life expectancy of 6 months or less.
Hospice Services Covered By Medicaid
The Medicaid hospice benefits cover services offered by a team of experienced medical professionals to meet your spiritual, emotional, physical and psychological needs.
These may include but is not limited to:
- Hospice nursing care
- Social worker services
- Hospice physician services
- Respite care
- Hospice aide services
- Bereavement counseling
- Medical equipment and supplies
- Physical, occupational therapist
Curative Treatment Is Not Covered
The Medicaid hospice benefit requires the patient to choose comfort care over curative treatment. Once the patient chooses hospice care, all curative care to treat the terminal illness is stopped and the patient receives care only from hospice organization.
Our mission is to provide the best services for your life better.
We want to sincerely thank the team for their kindness, love and dedication in caring for our Mother. You have helped make this experience one full of peace and comfort. Mother’s passing will always be remembered as a sacred experience.
